Having my husband home all day every day keeps me pretty busy! We seem to stay on the go a lot and I can't find a lot of computer time to post often. I have wanted to post some of my favorite pieces of furniture, or different rooms of our house on my side bar, but haven't found time to do so yet.
Today I'm posting one of my favorite pieces of furniture - my yellow rose tea cart! It sits in our dining room. It is hard to get a good picture of it because of the light coming through the window.
I bought the cart at an antique store about ten years ago. I think it is hand painted, but not signed. There is a small drawer that is good for storing flatware. It also has a hidden tray that is removable and can be used for serving, it also has roses painted on the tray.
I display most of my yellow depression glass collection on top of the tea cart. Even though there's a lot to display it works because of the softness of the pale yellow color and the painted design shows through. It doesn't appear too busy or cluttered, at least not to me!
I wish you could come here for a cup of tea so I could serve you from my yellow rose tea cart!
Have a happy day!
God Bless.
Katherine
P.S. - Check my side bar to see pictures of other pieces of my yellow depression glass collection.

Love your tea cart and yellow glass. Oh my favorite color, yellow!
Is your husband retired and at home now? That can be quite an adjustment.
Katherine, your teacart is stunning. Such a pretty color and the painting detail is just wonderful. Your yellow glassware is also so pretty. What a wonderful treasure. Hugs, Marty
I want a tea cart sooooo bad. I have never seen such a pretty painted one. Your yellow depression glass does look fantastic on it....Ok, I am a bit jealous....but I will get over it!
Hi Katherine...Your teacart is beautiful. I've been looking for the "right" teacart for a few years now, and have yet to find one I like. Yours is perfect with your yellow vintage glass sitting on top - quite elegant! I can relate to your not finding time to do things when on the go with your hubby. Mine retired 6 years ago...I didn't think I would survive the first year, but I've finally become accustomed to him being with me everywhere I go...and everywhere I am at home...well, you get the idea - LOL! You have a lovely home, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it! Mary
Oh, Katherine!
What a beautiful tea cart! I can see why it is so special to you. It is PERFECT for your depression glass. So beautiful that even someone who normally prefers pink (true confession time) cannot help but love the two together.
Have a super week!
Betty :)
Katherine, your tea cart is stunning! Your depression glass collection is lovely. So glad you were able to post your beautiful pieces!

I've always wanted a tea cart since I was first married (that was thirty-six years ago!), the one I wanted was blue and sold at Ethan Allen, and we were poor so it would have to wait. Then the kids came along and it was put on hold again. And then my taste changed and a tea cart didn't fit the decor.
Now, my home decor would welcome a pretty little tea cart and yours is beautiful! I love painted furniture, and yours is so elegant and dainty looking.
I may just have to go out and get myself one! And some beautiful depression glass to display on it!
Great post!
All the best,
Eileen
Very pretty....wish I could have some tea with you!

That tea cart is stunning and with your yellow items on it, it looks fantastic, sugar! Just gorgeous.

Hi Katherine! Oh, what a beautiful tea cart! I just love it and you have it dressed up so well with your pretty yellow pieces.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Oh Gina, such a gorgeous tea cart!! I just love everything about it, especially the colour! Your yellow depression glass collection is also beautiful...I have a couple of pieces but hope to get more through the weekly auctions I attend:-) xoxo
Hi Katherine, thank you for visiting my blog last Tablescape Thursday. I hope you come back often.
I envy you tea cart, I've wanted one like that for a long time but haven't found one so far. And I love your yellow depression glass, I've recently started a collection of my own yellow depression glass. I also collect blue. I have a weakness for pretty glass.
Oh what a gorgeous tea cart! I'm green with envy.
Hugs,
