Rehearsal Dinner Centerpiece Project

We just returned from a trip to Tallahassee, FL where my daughter and her family live.  We went to attend a wedding shower for our grandson's bride-to-be.  I'll share pictures of the shower soon, I'm waiting for my daughter to send me the pictures she took.

Now I will show you a little of the project we are working on for the rehearsal dinner centerpieces.

These bronze colored "buckets" will be filled with live chrysanthemums for the centerpieces on the tables at the rehearsal dinner. The little wooden tags have the initials of the bride and groom - Taylor and Emily. (We put the "T" on top so it wouldn't be "ET!" LOL!)

All family will attend the rehearsal dinner, as well as the wedding party.  Both bride and groom have big families so there will be about 90 people attending! We are prepared for 20 tables of four, plus a long table.
We had planned to wrap the buckets in burlap ribbon, but scrapped that idea since we ran out of time and like this look just as much, if not better.

One bucket filled with the live flowers will be on each table with a framed childhood picture (at different ages) of Taylor, and one of Emily on either side.

Here are a few of Taylor's childhood pictures that we'll use.  We don't have Emily's pictures yet.

I'll share pictures of the rehearsal dinner decorations with the flowers and completed decorations.

The wedding is October 20th at 3 p.m. in their church.  We are very excited, our first grandchild marrying a precious girl!
We started praying for his future wife when he was a baby, so Emily is an answer to our prayers! PTL!

I love the idea and giggled at the fact that you didn't want it to say ET. LOL

I was thinking as I read this that I wish I had at least one son because it seems to me that a rehearsal dinner would be more fun to host than a wedding.

I know you're so excited. (I follow you on pinterest, after all, so I know you have been pinning stuff in advance of this big day coming up.)

They are a beautiful couple!! Nothing like a Mercer man...

I love that so many brides are opting for cleaver, creative, decor for their weddings and usually saving money in the process! These buckets are adorable...Yep, I think TE is better than ET...lol!
