The tabletop I'm sharing this week is the hall tree in our foyer. I change the decor for each holiday and seasons. For Valentine's Day this year I added the silk florals at the top of the mirror. The two framed prints my husband brought back from Italy a few years ago.
First I placed a vintage-look Valentine on top of Jane Austen's Persuasion book. A red mercury glass vase filled with red florals and a red mercury glass voltive sit beside the gold candlestick.
Next I changed to the tiny cherub on the book, can't decide which I like best, the cherub, or the Valentine.
Inspiration for this tabletop started with this large heart ornament:
I found this lovely ornament before Christmas 2008, at T.J. Maxx for only $7.99! Since it looks like a heart, I knew I would use it for Valentine decor.
Below: the mirror reflection makes it look like two candles, but there's only one.
I like it so much I would like to keep it here year around, but guess I won't!
God Bless.

P.S. - We are giving praise and thanksgiving to the Lord! My husband, Joe, received a good report from his heart catheterization Friday at Mayo Clinic (Jacksonville, FL) He didn't need to have stints, the two doctors agreed his problem can be "fixed" with taking meds! We are so thankful for all the prayers and support we've had from friends and family, and all of you blogger friends who also prayed for us! We believe this result is from the prayers! A few weeks ago our pastor anointed Joe with oil and prayed for him, as well.

Thanking God for answered prayer for Joe! Such good news. I love that hanging heart and the way you've put everything together. You have such a special touch with your decor. Come on over and help me out here! ~Adrienne~
Katherine that is such great news about your husband and yes, prayer definitely works!
J has had several heart catheterizations. He's had blockages that were taken care of with balloon angioplasty and he has one stent. He takes blood thinner and other meds that have kept him from having any other procedures for blockage. He has Atrial Fibrillation. This is genetic, in his family. His dad died of heart disease when he was 51. When that happened, in 1969, angio plasty had not been discovered. So many things are available now and continue to be discovered in matters of the heart and other medical problems.
Last year was the first year J was not hospitalized for one thing or the other in over 20 years. Not all heart, though. It's been a few years since he was hospitalized for heart. For that we are thankful! J, who began the journey in 1987, continued working at his regular, very active schedule, as an electic lineman, through all those years.
Prayers also for the physicians, surgeons and researchers.
I love your heart. I've never seen one like it, while out and about shopping. Would love to have one!
