Porch and Patio Party

I'm joining in the Porch and Patio Party sponsored by Grits and Glamour, to here for more!

Our porch overlooks a lake in our neighborhood.

Living in Florida we can use our porch the majority of the year. This is a favorite place for me!

Below is where we eat a lot of our meals. I especially like to eat breakfast out here!

This is the far end of our porch, looking toward the east.

Also on this end of the porch we have our mini garden growing in pots.
We have tomatoes, green peppers, basil, and mint growing in pots. (That's also a poinsettia growing in a pot, it's left from Christmas.) They grow very big in Florida.

The other end of the porch has our spring flowers
And our orchids
The French doors above lead to our breakfast nook and kitchen.

For close-ups of our orchids, scroll down several posts where they are featured.

The swing on our porch is absolutely my favorite place to be I love reading here!

My tea pot fountain is also on our back porch, it is very soothing to hear while relaxing.

I painted this sign, it is above the French doors which lead to our master bedroom.

I love this verse, and believe our Lord did indeed lead us beside the still water!

In Florida the screened in patios/porches are called a lanai, but I refer to it as my porch! I'm Southern, you know!

If you are ever in the neighborhood, please join us for a glass of sweet tea, with a sprig of mint, on our porch!

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

Katherine

How nice to be on the water. I found an idea here that I'm going to try. I can't have hydrangeas in the yard because the deer eat them, so I think I'll do one on a pot on my porch. Yours is beautiful.

Oh what a beautiful view from your porch. Your porch is such a pretty place to sit and relax and have a meal. Your mini garden is such a great idea. Most of all I love the teapot waterfall. That is just the cutest thing I've ever seen. Also, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such kind and gracious comments. I really do appreciate the visits. Hugs, Marty

Hi Katherine.
I tried to post a comment, but got a message about server maintenance. Then what I wrote went away so I'll try again.
As I was saying . . .
Your porch/patio/lanai is beautiful. I love it all but especially the view and the porch swing.
Hugs,
Charlotte

Is your porch glassed in or screened. I love the swing. I have always loved them. I'm wondering if I have room for one on the front.
Do you have a lot of sun out there or mostly shade?
I wish I'd known you when the company took us to Naples. Isn't that where you live.

Thank you for leting us peek at your very pleasant porch. Having it screened in makes it versatile. Your furnishings and plants give a welcoming feel.
